Your mission
You will be responsible for delivery of all legal services (directly and using external resource, where approved) for Sweden and support delivery of legal services in Sweden. Operate as a valued & integral member of the Global Legal Department and as a key business partner to provide high quality legal services and strategic legal support and advice. Support the appointed Compliance Officer responsible for overseeing investigations on ethical concerns & misconduct in Sweden.

You will be the legal lead on Global Strategic Accounts originating from Sweden. Provide primary legal support to Data Privacy Officer for Sweden and support transversal activities with local implementation within Sweden.

Your responsibilities
Work on a wide range of commercial matters to support the local commercial, industrial, R&D & other entities (including factories and warehouses), many of which contain international elements.

This will include:
• Prepare & review tenders & contracts & support negotiations.
• Prepare template agreements & T&Cs.
• Provide pre-litigation/claims support.
• Oversee litigation & represent the organisation in matters before courts, government agencies, or other authorities to protect the organisation's legal & business interests.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and Group policies.
• Support local real estate matters & employment issues.
• Local implementation of business unit & corporate functions decisions (including compliance programmes).
• Provide training to management and business teams.
• Advise management on all legal matters & the potential impact of current & future laws & regulations.
• Evaluate the organisation's activities, policies, practices and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage external legal service providers & prepare materials to ensure the organisation's interests are well represented.
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop professional legal staff to ensure the organisation's legal activities are conducted accurately, ethically and per established guidelines
• Other local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management.

Travel
Regular travel within Sweden is required. Occasional travel to other locations in Europe is expected as business need is determined. Travel may include some overnight stays.

About You
• You must be a fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Sweden having a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent.
• You must have an in-depth understanding of how an in-house legal department operates & a passion for understanding Schneider Electric's businesses & facilitating business results.
• You must be able to identify & analyse critical business issues & apply legal expertise to deliver solutions.
• You must be confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized & able to work effectively in teams.
• You must be able to work independently and manage large volumes of work.
• You must be able to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, manage conflict & solve problems.
• You must exercise considerable legal judgment, experience and independent reasoning.
• You should have relevant post qualification experience in commercial and/or construction law, ideally in an in-house environment & preferably in a Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment sector.
• Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).
• PC Literate & Self Sufficient. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
