Essity is looking for a Senior IT Manager to join the IoT Services organization. The candidate we're looking for should have a genuine interest and strong experience in building modern scalable software solutions and platforms. This role requires strong leadership and experience in building and leading high performing teams.
The position is preferably based in Gothenburg (Sweden), but can also be based in any of our offices in Europe with frequent visits to our office in Gothenburg.
Main Tasks
Build and continuously develop the Delivery organization for IoT Services
Contribute to the strategic direction and operations of the IoT Delivery organization within IT and recommend improvements or new solutions that will enhance the IT delivery of the respective area and follow-up on their implementation
Be the thought leader in and advise the organization on how to use cutting-edge technology
Improve customer satisfaction by identifying and proposing new services or improvements to services based on customer needs and up-to date IT solution knowledge
Actively drive the service development of your area, ensuring that we're constantly delivering value in an efficient way
Lead the IoT Delivery organization in regards to growing and developing a high performing team with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring employees
Responsible of recruitment, including consultants. This means work with HR to create job postings, screen resumes, interview candidates etc.
Build long-term relationships within area of responsibility both externally (vendors, customers) and internally (stakeholders)
You are the voice of your team, and as such need the ability to communicate both up the management chain, across to other functional groups as well as communicating news and decision making to your team
Create a service culture to execute the services agreed
Key Competencies
Relevant university degree in computer science or equivalent
Software Development and/or Engineering background
Extensive leadership experience from working and achieving results in a matrix organization, demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse, international teams
Excellent people management skills and ability to lead a team to self-organization
Strong Experience from managing software engineers
Take a customer-centric view to efficiently translate customer needs and processes into solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Stakeholder management, knowing what is relevant for the stakeholders and being able to provide it in an understandable way
Broad technology understanding and ability to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
Fluent English is required in this position
