hela Sverige The Environmental protection department is responsible for the global environmental protection issues within Volvo Car Group, such as management of environmental legal requirements, strategies, targets and operational development.

We are now looking for a Senior Environmental Coordinator, who will be responsible for coordinating environmental work within Torslanda Plant in Gothenburg, Sweden. Your work will be organized within Global Environmental Protection department, but the main responsibility is within the Torslanda plant, therefore collaboration with other departments and colleagues as well as independency is important.
Main responsibilities
• Identify and interpret relevant environmental legislation and update required instructions to ensure legal compliance
• Coordinate environmental permits, regulatory agency inspections and measurements at the plant
• Participate in corporate improvement projects within the department's responsibilities
• Develop procedures, targets and activities to improve environmental performance and resource efficiency in the plant
• Establish good communication with management teams as well as production teams, which is especially important in this challenging production environment
• Participate in internal and external networks, to make environmental considerations part of the daily work and based on this open opportunities for development of environmental performance
• In case of an environmental accident, coordinate necessary actions and report promptly according to applicable routines
• Act proactively, search for possible issues within the plant and be able to get support from multiple stakeholders to find the most efficient solution
Required qualifications
• University degree from relevant studies
• Experience within environmental protection issues
• Experience from manufacturing is meritorious
• Legislation and other requirements
• Leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Driving license "B"
