hela Sverige Avalanche Studios Group is looking for a passionate and creative Senior Environment Artist (Structures and Props) to work with us on our next AAA project in either our Stockholm or Malmö studio.
The Position
As an Environment Artist, you will work in a small, interdisciplinary team to create items/props/structures for the game. We expect you to take your assets all the way from concept art and block-outs, through modeling and texturing, to final realization and implementation, and placement in the environment.
We are looking for someone who has an excellent artistic ability and is driven to find the right visual feeling and quality in their work as well as goal-oriented and likes having the responsibility for timely delivery and quality.
Required qualifications
• 5+ years as an Environment Artist including experience from working on an AAA title
• A strong portfolio that showcases your previous work
• Excellent modeling and texturing skillsExperience working with Maya or equivalent (i.e. 3DSMax, Blender) and Substance
• Strong artistic and conceptual ability to visualize and maintain the design and art vision of an area in detail with minimal concept art and direction.
• Comfortable taking ownership through the art pipeline, with full responsibility for assets from initial creation to implementation in the final product.
• Great communication skills and ability to work in a team
• A good sense of technical know-how and functional problem-solving
Desired qualifications
• Knowledge of lighting and composition, photograph
• Knowledge of architecture and engineering principles
• Knowledge of photoshop
• Experience in mentoring or supporting junior team members
• Passion for playing and making games
