Ericsson's Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) organization with development teams in Sweden, Canada, US and China, provides key products and services to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband (BB) applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. Our products include operating system libraries (kernel, boot loader, communication and observability services), a tools' suite (code editor, debugger, compiler, build system, test framework and trace functions), a coordinated development environment (IDE), and a programming model tailored to the Ericsson Many Core Architecture (EMCA) hardware. BBI's offerings are collectively referred to as the EMCA Software Development Kit (SDK).
In order to provide a cost efficient and powerful SDK many of its components are based on modern high performing open source solutions such as LLVM (compiler), GDB (debugger), Bazel (build and test system), Trace Compass (trace visualization) and Theia (Integrated Development Environment).
We are currently on a mission to develop and deploy a new state of the art Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline based on modern open source solutions such as Bazel, and we are looking for a developer to join our CI development team based in Kista.
As a Developer within our team, you will
Systemize, design, test, deploy, maintain and refactor code within the area of the EMCA SDK and CI pipeline in particular
Provide mentorship to junior developers
Work in an agile self-organizing team together with other CI developers
Work in close collaboration with teams in BBI and with our Ericsson internal customers
To be successful in the role you must have
Excellent knowledge in general purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java or Python
Excellent knowledge in Linux environments
BSc level in Computer Science or equivalent level of knowledge
Superb communication skills in verbal and written English
A can-do attitude
A strong, collaborative mind-set
Pro-actively seek to improve your surroundings
Laser focus on partner needs
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to appreciate different, and often competing, points of view
You are at an advantage if you have one or more of the following qualifications
Proven knowledge from working in a git/Gerrit based development flow
Proven knowledge from work in a CI based development environment using e.g. Jenkins or similar.
Proven knowledge working with open-source SW components and tools
