In Procurement, you're a vital member of our global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Your role is pivotal in securing materials and services at the optimal cost, quality, and technology levels, crucial for the company 's success.
This position is part of our Digital Global Category Team within Indirect Procurement organization, reporting to Global Procurement Manager for Digital. You will together with our stakeholders drive the digital transformation of our company by supplying the right digital services, HW, SW & licenses and project that enables future ready digital landscape.
What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced procurement specialist with purchasing experience of one or both of the following areas:
Commercial Digital - Experience in digitalization of the commercial and customer journey
Connected Experience - Experience in connected vehicles
In your scope of responsibility will be:
• Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects within the category including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection and contract management
• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
• Work proactively with key business stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base and potential innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability
• Perform market analysis, prioritization, and identification of optimal negotiation tactics
• Dare to question status quo or decided routes with stakeholders, suppliers, people; and work proactively to build better understanding and work towards common solutions
• Engagement in some global business travels
What you'll bring
You will contribute effectively to our team by possessing the right mindset, ambition, and attitude. Given the ongoing transformation, you are managing ambiguity and performing optimally in such conditions.
With your great collaborative efforts you will enhance the experience for Volvo customers and our internal organization. You lead your procurement area with confidence and create collaborative relations with your suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Possessing a university degree or equivalent experience is mandatory, while automotive experience is advantageous. In essence, you bring a wealth of experience and skills to elevate our team's performance and contribute to our success.
