About the role
As part of our medical imaging implementation team, you will work with our customized image enhancement software for ultrasound, X-ray and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). You will be implementing high performance image processing and AI functionality in GPU and vectorized CPU code, which is delivered as an integrated component in the processing pipelines of our customers' imaging systems. The work is done in cross-functional teams, in close cooperation with algorithm developers, application experts and product managers. This means, that in addition to implementation, you will be involved in defining requirements, performing evaluations and testing of new functionality, and maintaining / designing a future proof architecture for our complete system.
Since our mission is to provide the market with the best image enhancement products, it is central to continuously optimize code and always strive to be up to date with news regarding both hardware and software. For instance, you will work with modern C++, GPU programming, SIMD CPU programming on different architectures (AVX/Neon). Furthermore, our stack also consists of Python, Qt, CMake, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Docker, Bitbucket etc.
About you
To be able to meet the requirements associated with this position, we believe that you hold a relevant educational background, for instance a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent and have several years of relevant experience. We also believe you are a person who has performance in your DNA and is passionate about optimizing code. Image processing experience is valuable.
To be successful in the position you are an analytical person who get things done. You enjoy taking responsibility for your own work and to focus on the whole picture rather than focusing only on a small proportion of the task. As we are a small team you will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks, and hence, it is important that you get motivated by everything from thinking in terms of design, architecture to writing and implementing code.
