hela Sverige IBM has established an Agile Centre of Competency with the main objectives of driving successful agile adoption into client engagements and enhancing further IBM's agile capability across Europe. We are now looking for Agile Consultants to join this team working on activities such as:
• Agile coaching at enterprise, programme/project or team level
• Agile leadership working in key roles on Agile engagements
• Agile training for clients and internal audiences
• Supporting opportunities and bids with Agile expertise and experience
• Participating and providing thought leadership to IBM's global Agile team driving Agile across IBM's Global Business Services
Successful candidates will have the ability to act as an Agile Coach enabling agility at multiple levels within an organisation:
• At team level, supporting multiple teams in agile adoption
• At programme / project level supporting not only the teams but also the associated delivery, support and governance structure
• At enterprise level tackling the more challenging organization level transformation programs
They must have both Agile Subject Matter Expertise and ability to lead, mentor and coach at all levels through to the c-suite. A number of years of agile experience to draw upon will be key and these people are likely to be well connected into the wider Agile community.
Agile Consultants work closely with business and technical people to develop and perform activities allowing the development of Agile skills, the improvement of processes and, ultimately, self-sufficiency in Agile approaches. The role of the Agile Consultant is to share their experience and observations with all people involved in an agile initiative (executives, other stakeholders, delivery team, project managers, governance committees, project office, architects etc) to make sure that the best practices are being used. Agile Consultants support the start-up of teams/projects, give advice to improve the application of agile ways of working throughout projects, and spread best practices. At the more senior levels they are able to craft transformation roadmaps which enable organisation to successfully adopt Agile at scale and often in a distributed environment.
When acting as an Agile Lead they serve as a facilitator for both the Product Owner and the team, and ensure a power balance between both & management. They enable the team to focus on achieving their goals; they educate the teams in agile ways of working, the use of agile tools; they solve impediments, encourage transparency, protect self-organization, and they lead and coach regarding agile ceremonies. They bring discipline to the team, ensuring the team adopts their chosen agile approach and strives for sustainable improvement.
When acting as an Agile Trainer they lead training courses for project teams and / or client teams, at all levels through to c-suite.
All Agile Consultants should have substantial experience with industry recognized agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, Kanban, DAD). Agile Consultants acting as Agile Coaches will hold advanced agile certification, with experience of operating in complex project environments. Agile Trainers may have additional specialized certification allowing them to certify others, along with advanced Agile certifications.
