Our Exciting Opportunity
The transformation of the telecom industry to the cloud domain has increased the strategic importance of the security area. Security and privacy are on top of the agenda both for Ericsson and for our customers. Our mission is to transform industry trends, concepts, ideas and innovations into business opportunities for PDU PC and for Ericsson.
Product security focuses on ensuring our products and solutions are secure, fulfilling both our customers' security expectations and the expectations of industry regulators.
We are recruiting an engineer who shall drive the security area and make sure that we deliver superior security solutions.
This position is located within Product Development Unit Packet Core (PDU PC) in Gothenburg at the Systems and Technology (S&T) department. Packet Core S&T drives the technology evolution in the mobile packet core domain. The position covers the PDU Packet Core product portfolio.

You will
Drive technology leadership and innovation
Align technology strategies on security with product and technology development to ensure the delivery of high quality and innovative products using the most appropriate technology available
Lead and represent, both within Ericsson and in external relations with customers, partners and educational institutions
Build competence through presentations, lectures, and/or workshops
Submit patents when applicable for the area, and coach others to secure continuous evolvement of Ericsson's patent portfolio
Be a part of a highly skilled team or professionals that are leading in their technical areas of expertise!


To be successful in the role you must have
MSc or PhD in computer science or equivalent
Experience from working in technical leadership positions
Excellent presentation and collaborations skills
Excellent networking skills
Ability to initiate and drive technical investigations independently
Ability to work across organizational borders above own unit
Fluent in English, both verbal and written

This position requires understanding of
Network Security within TCP/IP as well as end-user perspective in areas such as intrusion, integrity, reliability, authentication/authorization etc.
Functionality, solutions and characteristics for various security threats and network level with respect to both network, telecom nodes and end-user security
Security aspects of virtualization in a cloud environment
