hela Sverige The Program Departments within Business Unit Missile Systems feature Contract Responsibles for Customer Contracts within our broad product portfolio. We are expanding and Missile Subsystems programs, which spans over products like Meteor, IRIS-T and Engineering & Production Services, need a section manager for the new organization starting 1st January 2024. The context is an international arena with close cooperation with both other Saab entities and international customers and partners.
Your role
The Head of Missile Subsystems Contracts will be responsible for managing the team of contract responsibles working with our missile subsystems contracts, developing and supplying world-class subsystems to our international main partners and other Saab entities. You will report to the head of Programs & Projects within Business Unit Missile Systems, and be part of the departement's management team. Currently the section has about half a dozen people, and initially you may also run your own contract within Missile Subsystems or develop the ways of working. To recruit and develop people, initiate and maintain interpersonal relations, internally and with customers and partners, and to chair steering committees are also important ingredients in the job.
The section Missile Subsystem Contracts mainly works within Saab's "Execute Business" process, and shall deliver our contractual obligations towards our customers, and strive to fulfil all contractual conditions and successfully deliver on time and on budget. The section is also deeply involved in the "Win business" process, where we support in developing the contractual content.
The work is done in a team context, where the Business Unit also provides several of the Contract Management roles such as Product, Commercial and Quality Management. Close cooperation with Dynamics Operations in terms of Engineering & Development, Purchasing and Production is also of essence.
Your profile
We think that you have well developed management skills, experience from managing managers and a high interest in developing people. You are prestigeless and love teamwork. Delivering commitments through other people is one of your strengths.
As for all managerial roles it is vital that you have an ability to take initiative, communicate expectations, conditions and requirements in order to build teams and drive progress with sustained performance for everybody involved.
We believe you have commercial and business experience, preferably in an international context. Negotiation skills, with associated sense for diplomacy, drive and integrity, are also suitable properties in your character. An interest for the technical dimension is useful.
We think that you have a Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant area with good communication skills in English, verbal and written. Driving licence including ability and will to travel both within Sweden and abroad is anticipated. It is a merit if you have relevant management experience from the defence industry. Experience of the products in Business Unit Missile Systems portfolio is a strength, but not a requirement.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will work with experienced professionals in an environment generally depending on close cooperation between several roles, functions and partners. Cooperation is especially necessary with Marketing & Sales, Commercial & Business Support, Quality and Product management.
