At Shopit we are committed to developing the best online consumer search engine for online shopping in Europe. Our goal is to make all products, brands and retailers searchable in one awesome shopping search engine. To achieve this we are using the latest technologies within data mining, big data, data analysing, parallel processing, search engine logic and social shopping functionality together with modern web design and user experience for both web and mobile devices.
We are now looking for more really talented people to strengthen our development team!
Our data mining systems are constantly crawling large amount of websites to aggregate and update product data from retailers, brands and other sources on the internet. You will be in charge of both technical development aspects of these systems, as well as the definition of work flows needed to make our staff working with manual markup as efficient as possible.
As a developer you should have a good knowledge of managing large databases and understand the content structure of the web. Preferably you are experienced in PHP, Python, Java or C++. Experience in distributed data processing over a large amount of servers is also an advantage.
You will be working full-time together with our dedicated team in our modern office in the centre of Växjö.
Shopit Online Europe AB is a sister company to SiteDirect Professional Web Solutions AB. SiteDirect has won several rapid growth awards such as Dagens Industri Gasell 2010-2013 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 in Europe 2010, 2011. We are all in all about 35 people working in the company group in Växjö, and we also have a branch office in Kiev, Ukraine.
