The department Propulsion Energy System is responsible for development of major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Within the department we have the group Charging Software - that's us! We are a group of 8 individuals who are getting bigger and better (we are expanding!). What do we do then? We are responsible for delivering software functionality for the on-board charger and the DCDC in our electrified vehicles. The on-board charger (OBC) holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid. The DCDC converts energy from the traction battery to the supply battery. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of software.
Now we are looking for someone who likes to have a dynamic mix between being a Scrum Master for Charging Software and also - Function Developer.
What will you do?
As a Scrum Master for Charging Software, you are responsible to lead the agile, scrum development team and responsible to deliver the state of the art functionality with quality assured software. A challenge but also very rewarding when you succeed!
You need to be experienced with model based development (MBD) using Simulink and AUTOSAR structured SW architecture, workflow and tool chain to utilize the development and building environments.
You will gain a deep knowledge about the OBC software in order to be able to make the proper estimation for providing software solution for multiple projects in collaboration with the Product owner.
In the role as Function developer you will be one in the team to utilize a model based development (MBD) process to realize functionality for different charging standards. You will be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of your functionality.
Main Responsibilities:
You should ensure that committed sprint targets are delivered and released to the projects according to plan. That means leading and coaching the team to utilize best practice software, having daily meetings with the scrum-team.
You manage the sprint backlog, and plan and conduct sprint review and sprint retrospective.
You should perform development and testing in various test environments. Interact with suppliers about software design solutions and lead the branching strategy of the software.
What do you need to have?
We believe that you have university degree (M.Sc.) within electronics, Software engineering or equivalent competence.
Preferably you have experience of working as software developer and you have experience of using SCRUM as a work method. You have knowledge about AUTOSAR architect and development, Simulink and Matlab. You have previous experience of Embedded system development.
We are a global company so a must for us is that you are fluent in English. Also you should have a driving license (B), preferably you love cars as much as we do!
This is what you need to have. But we also have a few things that is nice to have!
Preferable Qualifications
* Experience of working with Power Line Communication (PLC)
* Work Experience within the automotive industry
* Experience of development the BSW and AUTOSAR modules
* Experience of Power Electronic especially on-board charger functionality
