hela Sverige Play an important role as a Scientist in Process Chemistry, driving the development and scale-up of nanofiber-based products for bioprocessing.
As a Scientist Process Chemistry at Cellevate, you will be part of the R&D team, playing an important role in the product and process development of the Cellevat3dTM nanofiber-based carrier product portfolio. You will be working with polymer material development to successfully innovate, develop, and bring new products to market while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Your main responsibilities will include designing safe, robust, and scalable material manufacturing processes for the commercial launch of microcarriers used in industrial bioprocessing applications, including gene and cell therapies. You will be part of an engaged and agile team, working closely with operations, QA/RA, and the commercial team, as well as with external collaboration partners and customers.

The company develops and markets products based on a proprietary nanofiber-based platform - the Cellevat3dTM - a game-changing, green and sustainable, deep-tech innovation for the biopharmaceutical industry.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop chemical processes for manufacturing of nanofiber-based microcarriers for industrial bioprocess applications, such as gene and cell therapies.
Optimize product and process design to meet customer, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements, ensuring effective scale-up.
Develop safe, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes, including nanofiber electrospinning and material characterization.
Develop product and process characterization and quality control methods incorporating analytical and morphological analysis.
Communicate findings internally and externally, writing scientific documentation including research articles and publications for scientific meetings.
Build and maintain expertise in polymer chemistry and process development, staying updated with industry advancements.
Participate in cross-functional discussions and help implement a Quality Management System (QMS) for ISO and GMP compliance.
Qualifications
PhD degree in chemistry, polymer chemistry, material chemistry or equivalent.
3-5 years' industry experience.
Deep understanding of chemical processes in polymer science.
Proficiency in using analytical techniques for polymer characterization.
Experience in developing, optimizing, and scaling up polymer manufacturing processes, ensuring they are safe, robust, and cost-effective.
Several years' experience of documenting work according to regulatory requirements and standards, including ISO and GMP compliance.
Personal Capabilities

Ability to work in a team and share responsibilities and tasks. Good communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize chemical processes and material properties.
Flexibility to embrace change and to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
