Then we offer a stimulating position as scientific research coordinator in our team.

Your mission
We are now looking to get a scientific coordinator for our growing team, the placement for the role to start with will be at Bioclinicum, NKS. You will be reporting to the head of the team, Ass. Prof. Simon Ekman, but work closely with other senior leaders in the group. Your tasks may include project management of functional activities maintaining documentation, structures for day to day functioning, formulation of scientific concepts into applications/presentations for different funding bodies/audiences as well as certain handling of budget questions and invoices.

Your duties and responsibilities

Answer or redirect routine enquiries from internal or external funding bodies maintaining high professional standards whilst meeting conflicting needs. Accurately transcribe, type, format, and proof read a wide variety of material (for example correspondence, invoices, contracts, meeting minutes, reports, speeches, and presentations) using word processing, presentation, graphics and spreadsheet software in Swedish and English. Use desk top publishing software to design more complex documents and presentations from scientific concepts from the research team. Handle applications/reports to different national/international funding bodies (e.g. Swedish Research Council, Swedish Cancer Society, VINNOVA, Region Stockholm, European Union, NIH etc) but also collaborative efforts with pharmaceutical industry for our translational studies. In this part you will be responsible for driving the application process including the financial and administrative part. Coordinate internal and external meetings / conferences so that they run smoothly, including scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees and their remunerations, and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available. Perform other administrative tasks using independent judgement and discretion Plan, organise, and schedule own workload through system maintenance so that all activities are completed accurately and on time.

Your profile
- You should hold a scientific background (PhD) preferable in the cancer field.
- You should have some years ' experiences in working as scientific coordinator with very strong verbal and writing skills in Swedish and English.
- In order to match the position, we think you need to like different everyday tasks yet have the capacity/personality to follow up on a process to its completeness.
- You should hold in depth knowledge of administrative/business support activities in the relevant area and be flexible in your working load/activity.
- You need to have previous experience in working with different grant portals including budgets, different software and computer skills.

Bases of assessment

The candidate need to have:

- PhD in the cancer field or equal.
- Knowledge and documented experience with research applications to different national and international funding bodies.
- Formal documentation on English/Swedish writing skills.

Candidates will be prioritized who have:

- Previous successful scientific coordinator positions.
- Experience in scientific/financial reporting to different funding bodies.
- Advanced computer skills
- Personal qualifications and suitability
