BrainCool AB is now looking for a Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager to our office in Lund!

The Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for becoming a scientific and clinical expert on BrainCool's medical cooling portfolio in brain cooling and medical cooling and its related clinical areas and competitors.
With this expertise, you will provide scientific support for clinical development-stage and launched commercialized products including post-marketing studies, safety and surveillance, as well as product support.
You will interact with clinicians and other healthcare professionals who utilize or are involved with research related to BrainCool's products. Your focus as Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager is to combine in-house and external scientific expertise with hands-on scientific med tech industry experience. The position as Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager is organizationally placed in a new Scientific Affairs function, reporting to the CEO. You will have approximately 30 to 40 international traveling days yearly.

What you will do:
• Proactively monitor scientific and medical developments in the field of hypothermia treatments and medical cooling products.
• Be BrainCool's liaison to the medical and scientific community and be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with worldwide key opinion leaders (KOL).
• Investigate possible new product and product lines and manage evaluations.
• Manage, assist, support and present scientific research regarding BrainCool's products and projects
• Support the Marketing organization with well-defined specifications for new products.
• Assist in planning for User group meetings and manage and develop a new function of a Scientific Advisory Board.
• Support Innovation & Engineering in the development of new products.
• Support our Product Managers in product related investigations.
• Assist and educate the organization in hematopathology and related medical areas.

Requirements
• Advanced scientific or health related degree (e.g. M.D. or Ph.D.).
• 5 years of experience or equivalent within the field of hypothermia, preferably within stroke or SCA or a closely related discipline.
• High level of experience in presenting and facilitate scientific studies at various activities such as board meetings, conferences and other meetings.
• Strong scientific and medical expertise and demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.
• Recent experience from work in a clinical laboratory.
• Advanced scientific or health related degree (e.g. M.D. or Ph.D.).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience or equivalent within the field of hypothermia, preferably within stroke or SCA or a closely related discipline.
• High level of experience in presenting and facilitate scientific studies at various activities such as board meetings, conferences and other meetings.
• Strong scientific and medical expertise.
• Recent experience from work in a both preclinical and clinical laboratory.
• Solid understanding of the hypothermia medical device development process (Pre-clinical operation, Data management, Biostats, and Regulatory)
• Ability to analyze and communicate scientific and clinical information
• Familiar with current existing surface and intranasal cooling technologies on the market
• Knowledge of FDA and CE regulations, as well as other industry rules and guidelines along with medical and clinical terminology knowledge is an asset
• Must be self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task with delivering high quality work
• Must be able to manage their own work, with ability to prioritize, plan and organize work assignments of the team while working under strict timelines
