Scheduling Specilist

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory in Gothenburg that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. We are now looking for a Scheduling Specialist to join our Planning team of NOVO Energy.

What you will do

To be successful in this role you need to have experience working within large, innovative and challenging EPC projects with a high degree of complexity. You will be working with a highly motivated team in a challenging project, where we are all working towards a common goal.

As a Scheduling Specialist you will be awarded a stewardship over a section of the Master Schedule in Oracle Primavera Cloud and be responsible that the content is up to date and according to best planning practice. Together with the Managers and Leads you will develop and maintain the current timeline for assigned parts for example: design, procurement, construction, MEP installations and commissioning; related to the factory construction for your assigned part. You will be responsible for communicating with interfaces and other stakeholders to secure quality outputs. If needed, you will have to maintain multiple and interconnected schedules in the scheduling tool.

In this role, you will be working closely with various members of the project team to develop and execute the plan - both in terms of time and quality. The environment has high demands on communication, flexibility, independent way of work, long-term strategic thinking skills and commitment to the project.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- To Implement planning and scheduling practices in compliance with the procedures and to provide assistance to the Lead Planner in the team
- Develop and maintain planning control structures in alignment with project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements
- Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications
- Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyze project performance in relation to planned performance
- Participate in schedule risk analysis as required

Skills & Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Construction Industry with at least 5 years in planning positions
- Expert knowledge of manual and computerized project planning and scheduling techniques.
- P6 Experience. Primavera Cloud experience is a plus
- PMP Certification
- Excellent English written and oral skills. Swedish is a plus
- Experience from having worked in multi-cultural environment

Our Gigafactory in Gothenburg will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe, with a potential annual cell production capacity of up to 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) - thereby enabling a supply of batteries for approximately half a million Volvo and Polestar cars per year. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
