hela Sverige As Safety Validator you participate in product development projects as the person with the overall responsibility for validation management and act as a liaison with the independent validator and the independent safety assessor.
YOUR ROLE
• Planning, guiding and driving the project's validation activities.
• Coordinating validation work in the project's different work packages, such as development, engineering and installation to ensure an efficient cooperation.
• Compiling the system's Validation Plan and the Validation Report.
• Participating in the project's core team together with the project manager.
• Ensuring close cooperation with the independent assessor to discover any problems with validation of system requirements as early as possible.
• Participating in meetings dealing with potential safety problems.
• Review documents prepared by the project during project execution phase.
• Evaluate the conformity of the software process and the developed software against the requirements.
• Review the correctness, consistency and adequacy of the verification and testing.
• Ensure that the related hazard logs and remaining non-conformities are reviewed, and all hazards closed out in an appropriate manner through elimination or risks control/transfer measures.
• Give agreement/disagreement for the release of the software.
• Bachelor degree or higher education in engineering or computer science;
• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in railway/aerospace industry;
• Knowledge of one or more typical Railway Operations such as ERTMS/ETCS, ATC2, CBTC;
• Knowledge of railway signaling CENELEC norms or EN61508;
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and safety analysis methods (FTA, HAZOP, FMECA);
• Comfortable in working with multiple engineering disciplines and customers;
• Good communication skills, team player, result oriented and attention to details;
• Capable of coordinating work within the project and handling conflict resolutions;
• English at a business fluent level is essential for the job;
• Swedish knowledge is beneficial;
• Willingness to travel up to 10% per year.
