Resource Manager

Parts and Field Service Region North Europe is now looking for a passionate and people-oriented Resource Manager to drive the success of the Field Services Resources WSE team. The role is offered as a permanent contract and will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What will you be doing?
As Resource Manager in Wärtsilä Sweden (WSE), you will lead our team of 12 Field Service Engineers, spearheading the development and growth of the team and its members, ultimately enabling success.
In this role, you will ensure that we have the right resources with the right competencies available when needed, enabling optimized resource utilization. Your tasks will revolve around motivating the team, enhancing their competence and performance, actively supporting their professional development.
As an ideal candidate, you are passionate about process and competence development, continuous improvement, and finding best ways of working. You also have excellent interpersonal skills and genuine enthusiasm for boosting collaboration and inspiring commitment, fostering an inclusive and positive work atmosphere.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
Optimizing the utilization of own team, ensuring that capacity planning is in accordance with the company strategy.
Actively identifying improvement areas and driving improvement initiatives, along with establishing and implementing best practices.
Monitoring working hours and ensuring that legal requirements are followed, issuing dispenses for overtime if applicable.
Ensuring that work is executed in accordance with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines, along with site procedures.
Commitment to safety and well-being, actively encouraging the team to identify potential hazards and related improvement opportunities to contribute to a safe and secure work environment.
Securing that established tools, such as FS Mobility, Concur, SWR, and SRR, are used correctly and in accordance with agreed process.
Leading, supporting, and encouraging development and professional growth within the team, both in accordance with development plans and by identifying growth areas based on company needs and individual potential.
Handling Performance and Development Dialogues.
Maintaining and supporting registers of valid VISAs, certificates, vaccinations, passports, and other relevant documentation.
Daily follow-up of employee needs, such as sick leave, agreed time off, vacations, changes of positions, and retirements.
Enabling effective communication with other departments to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Occasionally participating in recruitment processes to expand own team and meet company needs.
Encouraging the team to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Actively promoting and enabling the team to succeed, to solidify our position as preferred service provider to our customers and stakeholders.

Relevant educational background and/or significant work experience in the field.
Passion for the development of both people and teams.
Continuous improvement mindset, leading the way, challenging, encouraging, and supporting change.
Influential skills to positively impact workplace safety, motivation, and performance.
Experience in Field Service-related roles will be considered an advantage.
Technical know-how and engine competence will be considered an advantage.

Proactive, solution-oriented, and self-directed approach to work tasks.
People-oriented mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to juggle demanding tasks under pressure, along with the flexibility to adjust and adapt when faced with a challenge.
Proficient Swedish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
