MAX IV is a national large-scale research laboratory providing scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world with instruments for research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.



Tasks
Start-up and operation of a Gun Test Facility at MAX IV
• Simulations and theoretical optimization of a new high brightness photo cathode RF gun
• Installation, setup, measurements and optimization of the new gun in the Test Facility
• Installation, setup, measurements and optimization of the new gun in the MAX IV Linac

Qualification
• Master Degree in Physics
• Experience of linac operation and commissioning
• Expertise in photo cathode RF electron guns
• Experience of photo cathode gun simulations
• Practical experience with photo cathode RF electron guns
