We are looking for a Regulatory Model Expert for Group Risk Models.


As a Regulatory Model Expert, you will be responsible for a wide range of regulatory issues, coordination and project management of regulatory tasks, driving responses to regulatory enquiries, providing regulatory interpretations and performing quality assurance of regulatory model applications.

Your future responsibilities



You'll join the Regulatory Applications team of Group Risk Models, where we manage regulatory applications and related affairs for all internal models across Credit Risk, Market Risk and Counterparty Risk. Group Risk Models is organised within Nordea's Group Risk and Compliance department.

What you'll be doing:


• Lead and contribute to high profile regulatory projects and initiatives including coordination and project management of regulatory responses related to internal models.

• Perform quality assurance of applications and provide regulatory expert input to Risk Models and internal model related activities, documentation and submissions.

• Have advisory responsibility related to regulatory interpretation and integration into Group Risk Models and other Nordea decision making processes as it relates to internal models.

• Work with Group Risk Models, Group Risk Management and Control and IT teams to review model implementations, documentation and review of portfolio impact.

Your profile and background:



• Academic degree within Economics, Finance or a related field

• 5-7 years (or more) of relevant working experience

• Good knowledge of regulation and governance in the financial industry is essential

• Good knowledge of risk modelling and risk data, preferably from a quantitative perspective

• Preferably detailed experience in managing, coordinating and planning application or similar regulatory submission processes and/or experience with international financial supervisors

• Ability to develop quality working relationships and drive global projects across multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills.
