As part of following Essity's strategic move into healthcare and its acquisition of BSN medical, a leading medical device company, as well as the growing regulatory demand also in hygiene products, we have now created a dedicated, global Product Safety, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs organization within our Business Unit Global Hygiene Category. The Global Hygiene Category leads Essity's hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation within the product areas of Incontinence Care, Baby Care, Feminine Care, Consumer Tissue and Hygiene Solutions.
As part of building the Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety team within Cosmetics & Biocides in Gothenburg, we are now looking for replacing one of our globally acting Regulatory Affairs Manager.
The position is located in Gothenburg.
Main Tasks
To secure input to have relevant procedures safeguarding that our cosmetic and biocide products comply with relevant product related regulations.
To secure notification/approval by authority of cosmetic and biocide products.
To monitor and keep up to date the development of relevant legislation.
To register/support registration of new products and to keep the list of registered cosmetic and biocide products updated and available.
To actively participate in internal and external networks, trade associations and other organizations defined by the business.
Support the sales organizations in efficient communication towards customers in Regulatory affairs matters.
Key Competencies
University degree in chemical, technical or pharmaceutical studies
Minimum 5 years of recent relevant work experience (e.g. regulatory, product safety)
Business minded and result driven
Excellent communication skills with different internal and external stakeholders
Excellent English skills, written as well as spoken
Documented leadership skills
To be successful in this role, we believe you have a business curiosity and comprehensive understanding of how the whole value chain works. We expect holistic thinking, i.e. the ability of taking a broad stakeholder perspective and connecting business opportunities with a high regulatory and product safety compliance standard.
