C3 Technologies is one of Saab's subsidiaries, and has been granted exclusive rights to Saab's world leading graphics processing technique for the private market. This technique enables fully automatic creation of realistic 3D models of cities based on aerial photos, which makes production much faster and more cost efficient compared to traditional methods. These models have been launched in Sweden by hitta.se, and by finn.no in Norway. The technical development is marked by specialist skills in computer vision and image analysis, in close collaboration with the graphics processing department at Saab. www.c3technologies.com.As expedition C3 is now entering the next phase, there is a need for additional state-of-the-art competence at C3's development centre in Linköping. Here you will get the opportunity to work with a unique technical solution and change how the entire world sees a map!
We are now looking for people who wish to bring in their specialist skills in computer vision. You will work as an actuator in the technical development of C3's products, in order to improve the visual quality of the models as well as the user performance. In addition, you will contribute both theoretically and practically to C3's new research areas, such as indoor mapping, combining of data from multiple sensors etc. More specifically, it concerns 3D reconstruction based on 2D images and other types of measurements, e.g. laser.
Your profile
As C3's new collaborator you should have a genuine interest in technology and be a skilled developer with knowledge about and experience in computer vision, image analysis and 3D geometry.
As a computer vision specialist you should have a Master of Science degree, specializing in computer vision or image based automatic control. In addition, you are specialized in the area through a PhD in technology or by means of a documented specialist role at a company. Irrespective of your background, we would like to see that you have long-standing experience within your area.
Know-how in connection with one or several of the following areas is considered an advantage: Sensor fusion with image data, 3D reconstruction, feature extraction, lens models and camera calibration, segmentation and classification, robotics, SLAM, ego motion estimation etc.
In order to succeed at this post, you will need excellent knowledge in C programming, computer graphics, 3D geometry as well as outstanding abilities in terms of abstraction and understanding of transformations and connections in three dimensions.
