This Position reports to Technology Manager.
Join ABB Measurement & Analytics in developing the next generation of Stressometer, the market-leading flatness measurement system for the metals industry. You'll play a key role in evolving our software platform, adapting it to customer needs, and driving continuous improvement through cutting-edge technologies.
Much of our current focus is on remote services, using machine learning and cloud solutions for diagnostics and process supervision, as well as ongoing advancements in our advanced MIMO control systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who wants to make a real impact on industrial automation.
At ABB Measurement & Analytics, we foster a collaborative and innovative culture, where knowledge sharing and trying new technologies are encouraged. For example, we've recently introduced Microsoft Blazor for our Stressometer HMI.
Your role and responsibilities
Develop and enhance technical products and software solutions for future requirements.
Take part in the entire process - from concept and design to testing, implementation, and customer support.
Program primarily in Java and C#, with other languages used as needed.
Contribute ideas, share knowledge, and take ownership of product improvements.
Your background
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent.
Experience in modern industrial software development; proficiency in C++, C#, and/or Java is a plus.
Ability to apply theory to practical problem solving and create customer value.
A responsible, collaborative team player aligned with ABB's goals.
Experience with the Stressometer system or rolling mill flatness control is an advantage.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
