In this role you will be part of a global R&D team within Transformers, powered by talented engineers located in different countries. Working in R&D will give you the possibilities to use your creativity to solve a wide spectrum of challenges. You will have exciting and varied work in front of you where you will get a broad network internally and externally.
Your responsibilities
Act as transformer physics expert in all stages of transformer delivery including tender, order, R&D and failure investigations.
Running verifications using simulation tools to simulate different behaviors of the HVDC transformers in operation
Managing technical risk for the developed solutions
Preparing reports and related documents in accordance with internal and external requirements
Provide technical support to factories in different stages of customer project execution such as design clarification and simulation failure investigations
Act as a bridge between design and R&D trough Training design engineers and help them to be updated and utilize the latest technology developments
Experience with dielectric and magnetic modeling methods and tools is a plus
Detailed design and 3D modeling using PTC CREO is also a plus
Your background
You hold a MSc or BSc combined with work-life experience in engineering or applied physics.
You have the interest and ability to work with cross-competence topics
You have sound analytical skills, including simulation tools and preferably have experience in designing and conducting experiments.
You have a willingness to learn and try new things and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve great results
Overall understanding and domain expertise in HVDC transformers is a plus.
Preferably you also have experience in, or ability to develop, project management and technical leadership skills
You have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is a plus.
