We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join or team at Grid Automation Products in Västerås, Sweden, the global center for protection and control within the power transmission area. We have approximately 200 employees who develop, manufacture and market products as well as offer comprehensive support and services to power customers worldwide. We work in close collaboration with Hitachi Energy units in 80 countries and 95 % of the sales are exported. Hitachi Energy is the world leader within protection and control with several groundbreaking technological innovations, which through quick fault detection has improved the availability and efficiency of power transmission networks.
Your responsibilities
Coordinate the collection, assigning and follow up of internal and external customer complaint cases.
Coordinate the resolution of complaint cases across the value chain (customer, technical support, after sales, failure analytics)
Support the organization to manage quality issues, incoming inspections and to lead quality improvement activities as and when required.
Coordinate, report and analyze opportunities from the cost of poor quality (COPQ) reporting and other metrics as inputs to our process owners and improvement projects.
Lead improvement- or process development projects as part of our continuous improvement program.
Maintenance and implementation of Quality Management System (QMS)
Assist, plan and execute internal audits,
Assist in reporting monthly Quality KPI's.
Perform 8D /RCAs for quality issues.
Promoter of a positive and proactive quality culture within our unit
Provide support for external certifications, customer, and supplier audits
Your background
High degree of social skills in combination with an analytical and proactive mindset
Experience of hands-on, detailed quality work in projects or within a product-based business.
Has worked near production to understand issues related to production processes.
Solid knowledge of document systematic and documentation handling
Experience of internal and external auditing, preferable trained as internal auditor within ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001
Good leadership skills - you make it happen!
Good stakeholder management skills
Bachelor- or Master's degree in relevant field
Fluency in English: written and spoken. Knowledge in Swedish is meritorious.
Working knowledge in MS tools (Outlook, Word, Excel , teams etc. )
