This position is as Quality Engineer in the Quality and Product Management group in Electrical & Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) in Gothenburg, with main responsibility for Volvo Heavy Duty Truck. The team consist of highly skilled quality engineers with a wide experience supporting each other in different tasks. The quality team works both in new development projects as well as taking care of customer and field issues securing that improvements are done and implemented.
Role Description
In this role as Quality Engineer you will work together with our talented and highly skilled engineers in global and multi-cultural development teams, securing correct product quality and delivering excellent products fulfilling our customer 's expectations to reach our target to be No1 in Customer satisfaction on the market. You will have a central role in selecting, prioritizing and facilitating product quality assurance activities, integrated in our product development.
The assignment will give you unique opportunities to be a part in all different phases of our product development from the idea phase to start of production in many different areas; such as vehicle ECUs, comfort and infotainment systems, battery and wiring & harness etc. You will interact with many different groups and roles inside EEVC, but you will also cooperate with other departments e.g. Cab and Chassis, and it will give you a very good possibility to build up a wide cross-functional network and a good complete vehicle knowledge.

Quality tools, methods and processes must also be changed and improved supporting our organizations' need of continuous improvement and here you will have an important role in to identify and implement changes adding value for the company.

Responsibilities
Secure that Product Quality Task Plan (QTP) for EEVC are set, agreed, executed and followed in our projects
Support our Design Engineers in quality tools and methods to reach the expected product quality level
Identify and escalate product quality issues to the EEVC PM and Quality Line Manager
Educate people in quality methods and tools
Improve the product quality mindset in the EEVC organisation
Participate in Product Quality Assurance process and tools development and improvements inside EEVC and X-functional, both locally and globally
Support Lessons Learn activities securing continues improvement
Qualifications
MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience from
Working within product development in automotive industry within the areas of Electrical and Electronics system, functional and SW development
Proactive Product Quality Assurance methods and tools for both SW and HW
Product Safety and ISO 26262
Fluent in verbal and written communication in English
High business and customer focus
Goal oriented, organized and structured
Good social, networking and communication skills in a global environment
