hela Sverige We are now looking for a QA Tester to Frostbite. As a Quality Assurance Tester, you perform a vital role in development, testing, tuning, debugging, and suggesting detailed refinements that lead to higher quality of Frostbite. The role ensures the quality of the software, inputting defects into bug tracking system as well as being in touch with Frostbite Developers. The primary responsibility of this QA role at Frostbite is to assist and support Frostbite QA team in finding defects early in the development cycle and making sure Frostbite delivers its release with the highest quality to meet the high expectations of Game Developers today.
We here at Frostbite know the value of QA as an integral part of the development team. Candidates will be required to use various tools and testing methodologies to execute against a testing plan as well exploratory testing. Qualified candidates need to be a self-starter and able to operate in a highly dynamic environment. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who has some QA background and interest in the Gaming Industry.
Teamwork and a professional attitude is key to this role. We are looking for responsible, dependable candidates who have an eye for detail, great work ethics, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Key responsibilities
• Executing against test plans prepared by Frostbite QA Team
• Reporting bugs into the bug tracking system with concise repro steps.
• Regressing bugs daily in the database.
• Performing daily sanity checks throughout all development phases.
• Creating and modifying test cases
• Providing weekly status updates and trends to QA Manager.
• Compiling lists of any defects or design issues found during testing.
• Maintaining a positive team atmosphere with peers and management.
What skills does Frostbite look for?
• Strong interest and passion for video games
• Ambitious, determined, hard-working and with good organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic to advanced software troubleshooting skills
• General understanding of popular programming languages
• Experience and understanding of consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) and PC
• Experience with Mobile testing is preferred
• Experience as a Tester on at least 1 ? 4 released software products is preferred
• Minimum 1 year software test experience preferred
• Game industry experience strongly preferred
General Information
Please note this is a junior/entry level position and we will not provide relocation. Thus, we will only consider candidates already residing in Sweden.
