In the Mobile Platform team, we work to empower the development of experiences that make owning a car better. Our mission is: Empowering teams to efficiently create scalable, future-proof, and consistent mobile experiences within a well understood whole - delivering on the brand promise to our consumers
We empower products delivered through Volvo Cars app, such as Connected Car Cloud Platform, Service Booking, Connected Safety, Customer Care Chat, Volvo ID, over-the-air updates, and car connectivity.
The team is located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund, Sweden, and we also have teams in the US and in China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna and King.
You will be working with a group of skilled people, currently engaged in agile product development for the Volvo Cars Android app.
What you'll do
We're looking for an experienced QA lead that can take the QA strategy for the Volvo App to the next level, driving test automation across both Android and iOS platforms. You'll be working closely with all the teams in the Volvo Cars App organization and neighbouring organisations. You'll guide teams on a path towards effective automatic testing, a path with many stops and branches, figuring out how to deliver value with every step we take towards our vision: from easy mocks to car-rigs. You're willing to do some of the work yourself when the need arises. There is also the possibility to lead and create a forum for our QA members if that's of interest.
You and your skills
We are looking for a person interested in joining Volvo's exciting journey to become a software driven company. You are either a strong quality engineer with leadership qualities or a proven leader with an interest in quality. You are a good communicator and know how to build relationships with other teams and engineers.
