Position Summary
The Public Affairs & Communications lead, oncology will drive GSK Sweden's external affairs and communications strategy to support the successful launch and access of GSK's expanding oncology portfolio. The role will shape the policy environment, strengthen GSK's position within Swedish cancer care, and ensure timely and sustainable patient access to innovative treatments.
In addition, the role will lead external communications activities for oncology, ensuring consistent, compliant, and impactful messaging across stakeholders and channels, and proactively influence the public narrative around cancer care and innovation.
Working closely with the Head of Government Affairs & Communications, the Oncology Business Unit, and cross-functional teams, the manager will translate portfolio needs into policy and communication strategies and build high-impact stakeholder partnerships.

Responsibilities
Execute priority areas of the Government Affairs strategy with a strong focus on oncology launches.
Identify and analyse policy, regulatory, and healthcare trends impacting oncology access and innovation.
Shape the external environment by engaging authorities, policymakers, industry partners, and cancer organisations at national and regional level.
Develop and deliver compelling messages and narratives in media and public forums to position GSK as a trusted voice in oncology.
Lead external communications for oncology, including media engagement, press materials, and alignment of messaging with compliance standards.
Support brilliant launches by ensuring policy readiness, external narrative development, and stakeholder mapping.
Build long-term partnerships with patient organisations and integrate patient perspectives into policy and communication activities.
Provide timely intelligence on political, healthcare, and media developments affecting GSK's oncology portfolio.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Experience in public affairs, healthcare policy, or related fields
Strong understanding of the Swedish healthcare and political system
Proven ability to build senior-level stakeholder relationships and manage media interactions.
Demonstrated ability to craft persuasive messages and influence narratives in media and public debate.
Ability to convert complex scientific and policy issues into clear strategies and compelling communication.
