We are looking for a Proposals Engineer to our office in Sala, where we work with solutions for the mining industry. You will be preparing proposals for complete concentrator plants.
Your duties will include:
• Involvement in the bidding process for concentrator plant.
• Managing the proposals work for a specific project by coordinating the work and information from other Metso units, external suppliers as well as different engineering disciplines within Metso such as process engineering and mechanical plant design.
• Working efficiently towards well defined mile-stones for completion of a proposal in close cooperation with the appointed sales lead.
• Following a project from initial sales stage until handover of the project from sales to project management.
• Attending meetings as required in order to support the sales lead and team.
• Supporting the sales process and maintaining an ethical, proficient and co-operative approach with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
This job requires frequent travel, both domestic and international.
Requirements:
You have a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Minerals Processing is an advantage), or equivalent training/experience and a minimum 2 years related experience. You also have experience from proposals preparation and estimating of complex industrial projects. Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes and good knowledge in the English technical language, fluent in reading/writing and speech, are required. You must have valid driver's license and passport.
You are a highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines, complete assigned tasks in the time allotted and you function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
You need to be able to work in several project leads simultaneously, including making sure all needed information is available, gathering price information, preparing estimates, proposal documents, etc. You have good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment. You also have excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills, as you will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
