The Life Science Foresight Institute is expected to become a national and future Scandinavian research institute by 2014. At the new IdeonMedicon Village at Lund, a public-private initiative to support translational research and growth of life science enterprises, this ground-breaking institute is started with EU funding. The institute will produce new knowledge by integrating and analyzing existing data and information, in order to facilitate strategic decisions by public and private organisations. Small and medium-sized life science companies in Scandinavia will be given priority regarding their needs of global intelligence about research and technology, product development and validation, and business opportunities in a 10-15 year perspective in order to create the best possible setting for their enterprises.
An entrepreneurial CEO to set up Life Science Foresight Institute
The mission
The CEO of Life Science Foresight Institute (LSFI) is responsible for the build-up of the institute from a regional project to become the preferred partner in Life Science business intelligence strategic foresights and meta analyses in Scandinavia for large and small businesses and organisations. Networking in the private and public sector the CEO needs to secure future funding for the institute to grow past the end of 2013. The CEO will act as the single most significant representative for the institute in communications with relevant bodies such as academia, venture capitalists, industry groups and government.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
The position requires the CEO to be highly committed with excellent communication skills and an ability to act flexibly, strategically and enthusiastically.
Essential qualifications and experiences
• Education within Life Science and/or business education
• Experience in processes and value creation in life sciences
• Documented leadership experience
• Intra- & entrepreneurial experiences
• Networks in Scandinavia in the public and private sector
• Proficiency in English and one of the Nordic languages.
Önskvärda kvalifikationer
Desirable qualifications and experiences
• PhD
• Development of medical products, licensing or alliance management within a life science company
• Leading and driving complex programs across organisations
• Setting up completely new initiatives
• Networking within governmental bodies in Scandinavia
• Insights in new methods of knowledge management, construction of models and trend analysis

Visstidsanställning 6 månader eller längre
