As our Site Acquisition Manager you will be responsible for the securing of new facilities for the school to be in operational use by August 2013. Another important aspect of your job is to provide expert advice on issues related to your work to the Board of Governors and the Expansion Project Team. Your task will be to source, negotiate and secure a new site within our specified timeframe. You will also be expected to work out guidelines for contracts and price levels and to advise on any deviation from this framework. You will also be expected to support project planning for the next phase of the project.
The role also means that you should set up effective delivery processes and follow up on assignments carried out to check the agreed quality of such delivery, time and budget. You will be our public face to suppliers and their representatives, as well as the internal project interface within our organization around these issues. It is crucial that you create and maintain good working relationships with our suppliers. This is a role where you will have great freedom to influence how you work and the areas of responsibility you take on.
You will have:
At least three years experience of negotiating rental contracts or buying land in Sweden
Good knowledge of obtaining all relevant local authority permissions
Experience of both public and private property sectors
A good understanding of non-profit organisations
The ability to speak fluent Swedish and good English
Experience and/or an interest in schools and education
As a person you are driven, organised, committed and focused on finding solutions. You thrive equally well working independently and in teams, and are used to taking your own initiative with a view to delivering. It goes without saying that you are an effective worker who is both strategically and commercially-minded and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
This role is intended initially as a part-time role, to cover the first stage of the project for a period of 8 months, however for the right candidate, there is a possibility to extend the role both into the next phase of the project or to include other areas such as business planning, marketing and fund-raising.
