We are actively seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Project Quality Manager to become a valuable part of our Network Control Operations team in Europe. Network Control (NC) is a globally recognized division within Hitachi Energy, specializing in delivering cutting-edge systems and solutions for the management and control of energy transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution networks worldwide.
As the Project Quality Manager, you will play a central role in the delivery of an internal project to Hitachi Japan. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our projects not only meet but consistently exceed the highest quality standards. You will be at the forefront of establishing and implementing rigorous quality assurance and control processes, closely monitoring project quality performance, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. Your guidance and support will be instrumental in assisting the project core team in addressing all quality-related aspects, ultimately contributing to the achievement of project objectives, including quality, supplier and subcontractor quality, and overall customer satisfaction. You will also be the key liaison for all quality-related discussions with our valued customers.
This is a global role, and you have the flexibility to choose your base from a range of locations including Sweden, Norway, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Chennai in India, or Poland. However, it's important to note that periodic travel to Japan will be necessary, given that our customer is based there. Your openness to residing in and traveling to Japan for specific durations is crucial to the success of this role.

Your responsibilities
Prepare project quality plan (PQP) and other quality documents based on quality management system and analysis of specific contractual quality requirements
Work with quality risks and monitor status and mitigation
Update quality risks in the risk register based on analysis and ensure mitigations are identified and follow up
Prepare quality budget proposal on resources and costs for approval
Collect lessons learnt and document them for future use
Plan, organize, lead and monitor all quality assurance and quality control activities in the project based on the PQP
Ensure that quality processes are known and followed by the project team
Drive Quality culture, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and compliance with local codes & standards, law & regulations on the Project

Your background
Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering or quality management and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience related to Project Quality Management
Knowledge, track record and proven capability in Change Management, managing internal project/program in large and complex organization
Experience in process management ideally in project business, preferably in the energy or automation industry, combined with experience with software development and software delivery
Capacity to communicate, result oriented, speed in execution, openness and listen to others.
English fluency (written and spoken)
