hela Sverige As a project manager, it is expected that you have knowledge of how to run projects and product development, and in this case specifically against power electronics products. We see that you have background in electrical engineering or are a developer in electronics with experience in project management and leadership.
Position's overall objective
To Manage Projects in the company. Mainly within the product development or maintenance area but it can as well be IT, process, improvements etc. Main objective is to ensure that the projects are in time, within the budget and fulfil the requirements. The projects shall follow the internal processes so these must be understood and transferred into project plans, time plan, resource plans, organisation charts etc. The role is wide and contains work from idea to volume production, meaning that people from R&D, sourcing, production, product manager, sales, quality etc will be part of the project.
One other important objective, is to participate in development and improve the processes, templates and tools within the company
Primary responsibilities
* Make sure that the products fulfil the requirements.
* Collect information and develop plans and make sure the projects are on track.
* Participate in Process, methods and tools (PM&T) development,
* Be part of strategic work (Roadmaps etc) together with CTO, product manager and R&D manager.
* Participate in quotation work, to and from the company
* Be the interface to customers when it come to project management questions
* Ensure that the processes are followed and that checkpoints are passed, and that system (ERP/PLM etc) are updated with correct status codes and information.
* Ensure configuration management, change management, release planning and exception handling in the projects.
* Understand the product from a technical and commercial point of view.
* Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project.
* Create, update and deploy the relevant knowledge sheet (A3)
Authorities
* To highlight and recommend (in cooperation with R&D manager and chief engineer) to stop production and deliveries if a product do not fulfil the quality standards.
* Approve purchase orders according to the defined level, se separate document
* To ensure that projects are within the approved budget and that the product manufacturing cost is within the budget and in time with right quality.
Work activities
In general:
* Develop time, plans, project plans, budget plans, resource plans, delivery plans etc.
* Perform risk analysis and eliminate risks
* Follow up the plans and make sure they are on track, if not take action to get on track.
* Effectively communicate relevant project information to, reference group, steering group (and management team if needed).
* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope:
* Facilitate team and customer meetings effectively.
* Hold regular status meetings with project team.
* Keep project team well informed of changes within the project/organization and general company news that might affect the project.
* Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
* Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
* The detailed project activities are according to the company processes but are summarised below
* Pre-study: drive the project from several proposals down to one (or more) that fulfils the need, the goal is to make a decision if go into execution of the project.
* Execution: Define, design verify the product successfully according to the pre-study product requirement specifications
* Perform and ensure that the hand over of the products to production and service is done properly and according to the process.
Requirements
Education:
Master in science or relevant work experience.
Project management Course or relevant experience
Experience:
More than 4 years within the technical area and 2 years within project management.
Personality traits:
Positive, generate energy, self motivated, lead change & improvements, focus on result, good communication, see to the whole picture, dare to challenge, strive for excellence, lead by example..
Language:
English and preferably Swedish
