The project office Vehicle Engineering team is a team of 13 highly professional and passionate project managers with varying responsiblities. We interact internally and externally with respect for each individual 's opinion and values and welcome open discussions on any topic that may come into focus.
As part of the Aftermarket technology organization within Group Trucks Technology our mission is to secure that the correct aftermarket technical solutions are developed and delivered within the Spare parts, Service and Diagnostic areas. We have ownership for securing the feature level for maintainability and software download in the GTT community.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The mission for the Aftermarket project management is to be the end user and aftermarket organizations voice in Group Truck Technologies most important product projects. You will be expected to drive and manage requirements and demands from numerous entities and stakeholders within the Volvo group while in parallel lead and follow up the work from the Aftermarket Technology line functions. The position is linked to projects within the domain of Vehicle Related Services and ranges from coordinating projects driving system and process development to developing new service offerings.
In the position as Project Manager you will be expected to deliver on challenging objectives set on product and project Quality, Deliveries, Cost management and Feature. You are expected to secure all of this in an orderly, well planned and independent manner.

WHO ARE YOU?
You are a project manager or line member who is ready to take the next step in your personal development through taking on a project management role within the area of vehicle related services.
To be prepared for this role you need to already have be in a position as project manager or other coordinating roles showing experience and a proven track record of delivering on challenging targets. You are structured and organized and have the endurance to keep focus on the end deliveries that may be several years in the future. Communication comes naturally to you in order to obtain and share information, establish clear status reports and managing the resources in your project team.
You need to be ready to step up and assume the ownership for the projects that are assigned to you shouldering the full responsibility of the aftermarket deliveries. You should be ready to do so using excellent networking and management skills in order to maximize the end user satisfaction with the products and services that the Volvo group provide.
Required knowledge/experience
University degree in engineering or equivalent experience from appropriate area within the Volvo group
Documented earlier experience of project management or coordinating position
Fluency in English in both written and oral form
Competencies that are considered as merits:
Aftermarket experience from an AMT, workshop or commercial context
Mastering appropriate tools and processes currently in use at the Volvo group
Good knowledge of Engineering and project management in an automotive context
International and/or multi brand experiences
Additional languages spoken
PMP® certification
