Who we are?
Volvo Cars has established a central Commercial Digital department to focus on creating the online platform to provide one global customer omnichannel experience to all customers. Fleet and Used Car product cluster withing the department is working closely with central Used Car and Remarketing team to deliver best in class digital products to the markets.
We are looking for a senior Project Manager with experience of managing complex digital projects in global environment to join our product cluster and drive market implementation of products for Used Car and Remarketing business.
You will work on digital enablement and transformation projects that are critical as for achieving short-term business goals as well as implementing a long-term strategy of Volvo Cars. You will report to the Engineering manager of the Used Cars and Remarketing product cluster.
What will you do?
Your focus will be to coordinate activities of development team, business users, and external suppliers and partners to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. Your responsibilities include developing detailed project plans and delivering every project on time according to specification.
You will act as a Project lead and will have primary responsibility for project delivery, including:
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Facilitate development of the scope and objectives of the project, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Plan and conduct timely team meetings and project status reviews.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve project issues by using risk management practices. Report and escalate risks to management as needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project and handover documentation.
• Provide robust process to manage changes in project scope and schedule.
• Represent Volvo Cars towards external stakeholders and look for the opportunities that will bring value.
Do you fit the profile?
You are a highly motivated and service-oriented person with the ability to work under high workload. You are a fast and nimble self-learner who also work great in teams. We believe you are creative, fast thinking, well organized and with extensive experience in project management and negotiations.
We expect you to have solid experience as Project Manager within a multi-national organization. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
The role will require an analytical and strategic mindset combined with top class project management and negotiation skills. Requirements
• 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a global environment.
• Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering.
• Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business-level fluency in English language.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Focused on exceeding expectations and comfortable with working independently.
• Preferable experience in automobile business.
