Your role
We are looking for a Project Lead Buyer to the Supplier value engineering department. It is a department within the Strategic Global sourcing department. This is a key role in product development projects to handle and coordinate the sourcing and industrialization activities at our external suppliers with the mission to secure that strategic sourcing strategies are followed, to optimize the long-term quality, delivery and cost targets and to meet time to market.
This role will provide you with an international setting, an extensive cross functional network, leading edge technologies and great outlooks for your future growth with us. You will be a member of the global, category managed, sourcing team and you will report to Team Manager Project buyers and work with Suppliers within the Electronics area.
Main tasks and responsibilities
• Manage the sourcing of parts/products for R&D projects in line with project time plan, price targets and sourcing strategies.
• Participate in the Supplier selection process for new products, handle RFQs, make cost follow ups and select the optimal supply chain for the sourced part/product.
• Together with R&D and Supplier Quality Engineers secure that parts/products are designed to be produced by the supplier with optimized Quality, Delivery and Total Cost over the product life cycle.
• Communicate technical specifications and secure that production and quality standards are followed and understood by the supplier.
• Follow up that equipment and processes for assembly and test is set up at our Electronics Manufacturing Service Suppliers to meet the requirement for the new products.
• Placing and follow up purchase orders for the project.
Your qualifications
To suceed in this role we believe that you have minimum 3 years of experience where you gained knowledge of various manufacturing processes, value engineering and product development processes. We also believe that you have a University or College degree from a technical field or similar experience.
You need to have previous experience from project related sourcing is an advantage as well as familiarity with industrialization of new products. You need to be able to handle cross-functional teamwork and supplier relationship management. Project management experience or sourcing from EMS suppliers is highly valued.
As you will be working on an international arena, your English must be excellent, written and spoken alike. Swedish and other languages are a plus.
As a person you are resultdrived and a great communicator. You can act and take ownership of the task at hand and work in a proacive and result oriented manner to reach an optimized production and quality for each product or part.
