The Right Livelihood Award is annually presented in the Swedish Parliament
to honor those who find good solutions to some of our main challenges.
INFORMATION OM LEDIG TJÄNST
Titel: PROGRAMME AND RESEARCH MANAGER
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
• coordinate and conduct the research about candidates for the award
• coordinate and manage the Right Livelihood College project for the foundation
• coordinate and manage the protection of Laureates and other contacts with Laureates
• assist the Executive Director, especially in the field of resource mobilisation /grant applications
These four tasks weigh about equally in terms of time allocation.
The Programme and Research Manager will manage a Research Intern every spring.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
You are a good researcher with a quick, analytic mind and an experience
and understanding of the fields in which Right Livelihood Awards are given.
You are also a good listener and communicator - open, honest and
proactive - who works effectively both in a small team and on your own,
with an ability to represent the foundation appropriately in different
contexts and cultures. You understand the working situation and the
expressed needs of our Laureates and are dedicated to supporting them
where possible. You have an interest in project management, budgets and
resource mobilisation. You are prepared to work for an NGO-range salary if
your job is meaningful and fulfilling. The ability to manage multiple tasks,
priorities, and deadlines and to work independently as well as part of a
team are some of your strongest attributes. You communicate excellently
in English. You have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. You are
familiar with - or easily able to acquaint yourself with - database
applications and standard Macintosh OSX programmes. A high level of self
motivation and initiative and the ability to put things into practice in an
efficient and effective manner are accompanied by your superior attention
to detail and accuracy. You are ready to go on longer trips to countries
around the world. Your excellent social skills, combined with integrity and
discretion, complete your profile.
Övriga villkor:
Good knowledge of other, for the Award important, languages could be useful
(Spanish, French, Portugese, Hindi, Chinese and others).
