Are you interested in working in an international setting with people from diverse backgrounds to tackle major environmental and sustainability challenges?
The primary responsibility for this position is to product manage the development of the Trase platform: to coordinate the content and feature roadmaps and product releases that are central to the wider impact of the Trase initiative. The program manager role will lead the front-end development team within Trase and will operate as the primary liaison between the core Trase team and the external developers of the Trase platform. Specific responsibilities include:
• Working with the Trase Director, Trase Product Manager (being recruited alongside this position), team leaders and Trase data scientists to oversee the development of new datasets (i.e. mapping supply chains of new commodities, sustainability indicators)
• Working with the wider team to develop the Trase roadmap of platform features to best support the publication and user uptake of new data on the platform
• Monitoring and managing the needs of different members of the core Trase team as relates to the publication of new data and platform features, including the use and impact of new information through engagement and communication work. This includes overseeing the role of Trase partner organizations in this work, including lead partner Global Canopy in the UK
• Manage the roadmap, prioritization, and the work agreed with the external developers
• Monitoring and reporting on progress in growing Trase's online presence - including supporting the needs of the data science, communications and engagement teams to improve the functionality, usability and impact of the platform. You will also help to coordinate engagement with project partners and stakeholders and track and analyse user feedback and statistics
• Strategic and budgetary oversight of development priorities
This position is of the highest strategic importance for the development of Trase, and will also involve ongoing work to support the Trase strategy, as well as an active role in engaging with donors, partner organizations and users involved in every stage of international commodity supply chains. This position also sits on the Management Team of Trase to support the day-to-day operations of the wider Trase initiative, and coordinate the multidisciplinary work that feeds into the development and data on the Trase platform. Whilst not a core function of the position, there will also be opportunities to represent Trase in external fora and internationally.

The work requires that you are a natural team player, easily at home in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly motivated team.
You should be passionate about the urgent need to develop more sustainable and just approaches to managing the Earth 's natural resources.
We are open to applications from candidates that are either on mid- or senior level.
