We are now looking for an experienced production engineer for our Methods and Process Development department (GVM4). The position is located at the Gimo production plant.
Key performance areas
As a Production Engineer, your role is to convert requirements from production and product development into specifications for working production solutions, utilizing internal and external resources, e.g., machine, tooling and automation suppliers.
You will participate in investment projects at our production sites globally, supporting local production engineers and coordinating contacts with our suppliers. You will also evaluate investment projects with respect to aspects of quality and execution.
In addition, you will be expected to monitor the production machine market and lead the process of evaluating the potential for new production equipment, with a focus on future manufacturing methods and new machine concepts. The work is done in close cooperation with production, product development and process development.
Your profile
You have a university degree in production engineering or other relevant field. You can also have a lower level of formal education but long experience in production engineering. You have good social skills and an ability to cooperate and communicate with people at all levels of the organization. You have a good understanding of project management.
The position requires a lot of international contact, which means you will need skills in spoken and written English and an interest in traveling.
