Division Specific Information:
The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,800 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics. The allergy and autoimmunity product lines operate on a common automated instrument platform, Phadia Laboratory Systems, which supports both productivity and cost efficiencies in clinical laboratories around the world.
How will you make an impact?
You will be joining the Global Systems, IT & Workflow Lifecycle Team reporting directly into our Global Lifecycle Director. You will be responsible for marketing activities for Phadia instruments targeting a global laboratory segment. Key Responsibilities:
Understanding the market landscape, competitive environment and our customers' needs
Translate laboratory and customer stakeholder needs into product and business requirements
Developing and executing product strategies and marketing plans
Identify needs, define appropriate activities and drive execution to realize additional customer value
Support commercial roll-out of new products, while at the same time planning for appropriate phase-in/phase-out activities.
Engaged and representing the customer and market voice in a wide range of projects focused on product development, also involving external parties; for the current and future product portfolio
Project member in product development and product-care projects from requirement setting to launch planning and execution
Developing global product marketing plans including, situation analysis, price, registration plan, segmentation, targeting, positioning, product life cycle, revenue forecast, and marketing mix to create competitive advantages
Develop marketing and sales strategies for new product launches and product updates
Identifying training and development needs and working closely with regional marketing leadership to maximize usage of resources.
Participate in consolidation of information for post-market surveillance
Supporting the global sales organizations, including with key customer relations
Contribute with marketing input on Product labeling
Collaborating cross-functionally across the global organisation
Influencing key customers and important stakeholders
How will you get here?
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who has a strong commercial background and the ability to see the whole picture of marketing in this industry. We are looking for a person with strong IVD or laboratory background, preferably with a systems focus who understands the customer needs. As a person you should be able to operate independently, take initiative, be resourceful, and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance. You should also be able to demonstrate the Thermo Fisher values - Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's or M.Sc. degree, ideally a marketing focused Masters or MBA
5 years, or more, of relevant experience of IVD market, either from the laboratory field or IVD industry
Experience from life-science, diagnostics or medical device industries. Worked with hardware, software and workflow solutions
Successfully lead and implemented marketing projects
Strong analytical, and ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights data, draw conclusions/implications, and translate into comprehensive strategies and business decision recommendations.
Demonstrated success in collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix environment as well as with external partners
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications is required
International experience and good cultural awareness
Able to travel internationally, up to 60%
