Volvo Penta is providing world class marine and industrial engines and drivelines to OEMs all around the world. The products are in-house developed based on market expectations and business opportunities. The role of the Product Planning Industrial department is to gather the input from customers, market trends and business strategy to define and start up new product projects.
We are now in an expansive phase of transforming the Industrial segment product portfolio to reduce our carbon footprint. One of the most important contribution to this transformation is the electromobility offering. Our offering is based on a modularized platform that can be combined into a various number of system setups to fit our customers (OEMs) machines. As a Product Manager Electromobility you have got the responsibility and ownership of the modularized platform and to set the prerequisites how to further develop it. Your job is also to jointly with the customer define what driveline they need, safeguard a good business case, and set up the project to secure the system delivery.
To be successful in this position you need to be well organized and have excellent communication and networking skills. As a person you are outgoing, you have a good driving force, and you enjoy the teamwork. You can transform a customer expectation into a system solution with a business-oriented mindset. You have an electromobility experience from sales or product development and you are dedicated to the products in your portfolio.
Required knowledge, experience:
University/Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
Business driven attitude
Structured way of working
Excellent communication skills
Teamwork oriented
Fluent in English
Solid experience in Electromobility from Engineering and/or Sales
Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
