The product manager has the accountability to manage either a range of products or a specific program within the business segment. This includes having a good understanding of the target market, its size, trends and needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
The product manager has the accountability to manage either a range of products or a specific program within the business segment. This includes having a good understanding of the target market, its size, trends and needs. The goal for the function is to manage the existing product ranges over its life cycle in a manner that maximizes the overall return/profit to the company, to support setting the strategic direction for the segment, and provide the product marketing input to development of new products needed to drive the business.
Manage GE Healthcare LifeScience's Security of Supply program for chromatography media incl. working to evolve the program content and message, apply different angles, new activities and trends to ensure that the program remains fresh and relevant for regions and customers
Drive commercial and customer aspects in projects aiming to implement second suppliers, move manufacturing site or substitute raw materials
Collaborate with product development, manufacturing , production planning, sourcing, distribution and customer support to resolve short and long term supply chain issues
Perform customer presentations and supporting and training regions in promoting our Security of Supply program for chromatography media and position this as a value added differentiator
Manage and develop our customer safety stock offerings
Develop and follow up Change Control Notifications with R&D and regulatory support function and follow up customer response for optimal implementation
Develop business cases and strategies for security of supply projects
Manage content of strategic reserve
Leading and coordinating our Enterprise Risk Management steering group teams
Qualifications/Requirements:
Strong business sense and an interest in the commercial aspects of a company are essential components to be successful in this role
University degree in Science or equivalent,
Several years' experience in product marketing, product development, or a related field
Knowledge in large scale chromatography
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong analytical and process skills and influencing skills - ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence
Strong project management skills
Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment; team oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global and cross-functional teams
