hela Sverige Product Maintenance has the global responsibility to solve all quality problems on all existing products within Volvo CE, by driving the cross functional Product Maintenance process. The primary scope is to handle field quality issues and provide support to the OtD process.
A new area of responsibility has now been added to the PM scope - Customer Quality. (Is a defined part of the much broader Voice of Customer area)
The role as PM Project Manager for PM projects is a new role implemented in order to take on the increased scope in terms of Customer Quality related issues and to increase the flexibility in the PM Organization to drive cases outside the normal machine- and component structured PM Teams. As a Product Maintenance Project Manager you are leading the work in a cross functional Project team (with representation from Aftermarket, Technology, Production, Purchasing and Supplier Development). To drive the cross-functional work within the PM process means, besides leading the people in your team, also close contacts with our regions and customers. You will have the possibility to understand how our machines are used, the business critical impact of reliability, and also see many of your teams solutions implemented on the machines - and the effects of these.
You will be reporting to the Director Product Maintenance, but work closely with many of the highly committed and engaged colleagues within the PM organization as well as the different line organisations.
Core Responsibilities:
• Prepare & communicate roll-up of required resources and competencies to achieve PM targets
• In close cooperation with the Field Quality Analysis function, identify field quality- and customer quality issues and initiate activities to find the root cause and solve the problem
• Drive activities in cross functional project team to deliver on PM related targets, primarily TFR Lead Time, CHASE lead time and Failures per machine
• Continuously drive and monitor progress and report deviations when found necessary
• Identify main risks in PM work and establish mitigation plan/activities
• Prepare, report status and elevate potential issues to concerned PMC (Product Maintenance Council)
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
• 3 to 5 years of experience from product development - experience from several technical areas is an advantage.
• Minimum Education Required:
• Master of science in engineering or equivalent experience
Six Sigma / DMAIC competence is an advantage
