Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance and to improve the society we live in. In this role you will join our dedicated Procurement sustainability team working to drive our change-making sustainability agenda through the partnerships with our suppliers. True to Polestar's vision you will together seek out innovative and impactful solutions and projects.

You will report to the Global Procurement Sustainability Lead. You will also be a part of the growing global sustainability team at Polestar and work together with innovative and open-minded colleagues who like you believes electrification is a part of a sustainable future for our planet.

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg. We understand that work life balance isn't easy, and of course welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.

What you'll do

• Together with the global procurement sustainability team, implement sustainability tools and activities throughout the procurement process for both Direct Material (DM) and Indirect Material (IDP)
• Develop and implement sustainability targets and activities for Polestar's IDP sourcing process
• Ensure compliance to sustainability laws and regulations for Polestar's sourcing process
• Evaluate suppliers' sustainability performance through audits in EMEA region
• Work with EMEA suppliers on capacity building projects for increased sustainability performance
• Collect and follow up on sustainability KPIs connected to suppliers and procurement
• Ensure a robust data and document management relating to supplier sustainability evaluation
• Facilitate the collaboration between Procurement and R&D on sustainability
• Keep-up with sustainability trends and innovations connected to supply chains within EMEA
• Manage memberships and partnerships relating to sustainable supply chains and sourcing
• Perform internal trainings and communication activities to support the procurement team's competence development on responsible sourcing

Who you are

You have at least 3 years of experience working with sustainability, preferably relating to supply chains and responsible sourcing. We believe you have a university degree of at least 3 years, preferably within sustainability. Your main expertise and passion is sustainability! You also have a proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups. It is important you are energized by working in a creative start-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating a structure where and when needed.You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven.

You're not afraid to try new approaches and unconventional methods, and you work well both individually and as part of a team. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, sustainability, and customers.
