About the position
SSAB Europe's technological section within the department Process Development in Borlänge needs to strengthen its expertise in the area of rolling technology, processing and rolling models.
Within defined areas of technology to support production in Borlänge with the expertise of a general nature in areas such as measurement, combustion technology, heating, levelling and rolling models and modeling. A common denominator for the group is to create conditions for flat and tension-free products to customers.
SSAB is a modern steel producer with a clear focus on the production of high strength steel products with low environmental impact. Our production lines are equipped with the latest technology for real-time process control for rolling, heating, cooling and hardening.
The work consists mainly of developing and improving existing rolling models in hot and cold rolling mills. Simulation of processes and materials is a natural part of the development of models and products.
You will be part of a technology group that works on behalf of the entire works either as project leader or expert in problem-solving groups.
You'll also be able to act as expert technical support of investment projects, as well as act as SSAB's participants towards universities and research institutes for development within the own specialist area.
Working hours are daytime.

Your qualifications
Requirements equivalent to Master of Science or higher technical education. Previous experiences in similar work are considered as a merit.
We attach great importance to your collaboration features when work is carried out both independently and in groups.
You should master English well in speech and writing.
