hela Sverige Do you want to join Volvo as a Principal Software Engineer where you will be a key part of the development of future electronic powertrain solutions? You will join an agile, self-organized development team with focus on the development of software for future electronic Powertrains.
We are a global team working in our development center located in Göteborg.
We develop electronic solutions for engines, transmissions and electrical powertrains for the complete Volvo Group. We operate in all development phases, from specification, software implementation to final verification using continuous integration.
The role will include leading specification, design, implementation, verification as well as integration of embedded software in our in-house developed software platform.
You will also contribute to the infrastructure, tools and evolution of our Continuous Integration framework and our Agile communities.
We believe that you..:
are a Software Engineer with MSc in Software engineering or Computer science
• have a significant experience of software development in time critical embedded software developments in automotive safety critical systems.
• .have practical experience of software development in electromobility software systems such as electric motor control or energy storage systems
• .are an expert in C programming languages and good expertise in python
• .have experience of software integration and testing using, both software in the loop and target environments on Electronic Control Unit.
• .have extensive experience in software debugging, fault tracing, problem solving using advance In-circuit debuggers.
• .have experience reading/understanding electronic schematics to design software for optimal hardware resources usage.
• .have practical experience of writing Software requirements
• .are fluent in English
• .are willing to bring solutions from system design to verification
• .are an active learner and enjoy to transfer you knowledge to collegues
