Your role
You will be responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical consulting, advisory, design and solution services for Infosys clients. You should have in-depth technical knowledge in DC Infrastructure technology solutions that includes but not limited to Converged & Hyper Converged Infrastructure from leading OEMs like Cisco, EMC, Hitachi etc, virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM and Private Cloud architecture and automation using OpenStack, VMWare, Microsoft System center etc. Cloud solution design knowledge is desired. The DC Architect should also exhibit past experience in designing large and complex DC infrastructure design, implementation and migration.
Experience:
15+ Years of experience in IT Infrastructure with at least 5+ years' recent experience in Data Center Solution design, deployment/build and migration.
Certification: Cisco, DELLEMC, HPE, etc. Desired but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
1. As Presales Solution Architect
• Collaborate with Sales and Global Delivery practices units and work for Infosys client's requirement understanding through meetings, discussions or workshops or client provided RFPs/RFIs
• Closely work with Infosys partner ecosystem for Solution development, bill of material finalization, scope definition and execution/migration planning
• Carry out client existing Infrastructure EOL/EOS analysis, consolidation and virtualization opportunity, identify opportunity transform and develop target architecture strategy
• Develop solutions, proposal, effort estimation and presentation for Data Center Compute, Storage, Network, backup, hosting and other DC infra building blocks
• Solution walk through, solution defense, solution optimization and client technical clarification.
• Be integral part of sales process to covert opportunity to Infosys project
• Along with Infosys teams, develop Statement of Work / Scope of Work, participate in technical negotiation and sign-off process with Infosys clients.
2. As Consultant
• Carry out consulting assignment (paid / unpaid) for Infosys clients
• Independently assess the client Infrastructure As-Is and ideate areas of opportunities to transform
• Develop transformation and refresh solution. Estimate the budget and execution roadmap
• Develop Data Center transformation blue print.
3. As Lead Architect & Technical Authority for Data Center Transformation programmes
• Develop high level and low level physical and logical Data Center Infrastructure design drawings and design documents
• Demonstrate technical and advisory skills for customers, sales, and other consultants and effectively communicates the technical and business message
• As Technical Authority, actively participate in implementations, migrations, turnkey project to all levels of hosting, operations, service level delivery and support
Required Skills - Architecture and implementation experience
• Compute - Cisco UCS, Hitachi, Dell, HPE. Knowledge in Converged infra is desired
• Storage - EMC, Hitachi, HPE
• Network - Cisco, F5, Riverbed,HPE Aruba
• Hypervisors - VMWare, Hyper-V
• Operating Systems - UNIX (any), RHEL, Windows
• Public Cloud - Azure & AWS
• Messaging and directory - High level knowledge on Microsoft Exchange, AD and O365
• Security - High level Infrastructure skills including access security, network security, web security etc
• Tools - Should have high level knowledge and building blocks of management tools like ServiceNow, SCOM, Solarwinds etc.
• Workplace: Win10 , MS Intune, SCCM/IBCM, AD etc.
