VisitBritain is seeking a full time Press and PR manager with a natural talent for social media. This is a varied, challenging and interesting job, working closely with the Regional Manager Nordic, the Nordic team and the organisation as a whole. The core purpose of the role is to achieve inspirational exposure for key British tourism products and destinations in the best Nordic media (broadcast, print and social); by inspiring, encouraging and assisting journalists, production companies and other key influencers to tell our stories. The exposure gained should raise awareness of British tourism product; themes and destinations, bringing to life the experiences that can be enjoyed in Britain, reversing any negative perceptions and building on the positives to increase demand for visiting Britain and its regions. This important work contributes significantly to VisitBritain goals in the region and is integrated with our marketing strategy. The Press and PR manager will be responsible for creation and delivery of VisitBritain's PR strategy to define our approach to achieving PR goals. This requires selecting the right type of stories and the right media vehicle to deliver them to our chosen audience. The ability to organise and support media visits is an important requirement for this role. This involves selection of the most suitable media, working closely with colleagues in head office to arrange itineraries and negotiating with a range partners to gain support in reducing costs. The job involves working closely with and supporting Country Representatives in Denmark and Norway, 30% of their role is dedicated to Press and PR. The Press and PR Manager needs to ensure that we work as one effective team with a single PR strategy and aligned goals. Collaboration is essential to enable smart working and the sharing of ideas to deliver the best possible results for Britain.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Social media will be a significant part of the role. We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about social media and can drive significant improvements to our social media and digital channels. This will involve collaboration with head office based teams as well as local based initiatives to maximise the customer experience on our platforms and drive tourism growth to Britain. The job is offered with an ASAP start date, though any offer is subject to security clearance checks and a three month probationary period. The job is full time and working hours are 0900-1700 with one hour for lunch. VisitBritain is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
