(Reuters: KARO.ST). Arbetsuppgifter We are looking for a
preformulation/formulation scientist to join our Process and Pharmaceutical R&D
section. Job Responsibilities: .Participate in the pre-formulation,
formulation, and process development aspects of pharmaceutical dosage form
development projects. This involves both coordination of outsourced formulation
development as well as in-house laboratory work. .Determine/evaluate
physical-chemical properties of drugs, including solubility, dissolution, and
solid-state characterization, both in-house and together with external
laboratories .Design and carry out preformulation/formulation experiments,
evaluation of test data and preparation of associated documentation, such as
reports, in support of oral formulation development .Assist in the
preparation of the CMC part of the IND/IMPD .Write and review technical
reports as required for complete documentation and support of the product
development process .Documentation of formulation and development work,
including managing/archiving of development documentation .Communicate and
collaborate with coworkers and management to meet project team goals
Utbildning/Erfarenhet Qualifications: .PhD in pharmaceutical
sciences or MSc with several years of pharmaceutical industry experience in
formulations or preformulations R&D .Hands-on experience with drug product
formulations, pharmaceutical technologies and testing of formulations
• Experience with analytical techniques for pharmaceutical agents including
HPLC, GC and mass spectrometry. Additional knowledge of analytical methods for
characterization is preferred. .Knowledgeable about regulatory and
pharmacopeia (EP, USP) requirements, GLP/GMP and international guidelines as
they relate to the development of pharmaceutical products Additional
skills: .You have to be both innovative and creative, with the ability to
transform ideas into products, as well as structured and thorough .Excellent
oral and written communication skills (very good English, spoken and written, is
essential) .Ability to work independently and make decisions .Ability
to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage multiple activities.
